Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
They are tracks that I produced and written. I was inspired by old classic Houston music. The music that was created by Djscrew and screwed up click when I was a kid. I try to use the same instruments that were used back then and create new melodies. The lyrics I delivered on the track had slang phrases used in Houston when I was kid with added stories about things going on in my life or goals in my life.
What shaped your music?
Things that go on in my life. Whether it be problems or achievements I like to speak on personal experiences in life.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I was incarcerated from 14 until I was 17 and when I got out my best friend at the time was making music and I would go the studio with him and freestyle and it made me realize that music brought me a lot of joy in life and relived a lot of stress.
What type of music do you listen to?
Old school Rap
What inspires you to write music?
My dad always inspired me. When I was a kid he always had dj equipment at the house and would mix music at the house all the time so I listened to different types of music my whole life including all types of genres. When I started making music we wanted to start a label together and that always made me keep going so that one day that dream would come true.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
I’m a barber when I’m not making music.
Happiness to you is…
Being with family and loved ones
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Be prepared to for the days when your music is not getting the attention or recognition you want but don’t give up.
