Can you tell us more about the creative process behind the "DINO USA" music video directed by Delagrimm?

The creative process for the "DINO USA" video was a unique journey. Working with Delagrimm allowed us to dive deep into the visual storytelling of the song. We wanted to capture the essence of San Bernardino and the pride that comes with being from there. Delagrimm and I discussed everything from the locations, the color palette, and the tone, ensuring the visuals matched the energy of the track. The video highlights the grittiness and resilience of Dino, USA, while still showing the beauty of community and culture. Every shot was intentional—from iconic landmarks to everyday life in the Northend—because this project is all about connecting with where I’m from.

What does "DINO USA" represent to you, and how does it connect to the overall theme of "Northend Gnarly"?

"DINO USA" is a love letter to San Bernardino, a celebration of the resilience and pride of the city, especially the Northend. It represents not just where I’m from but who I am and the people I’ve grown up with. The song ties into the theme of Northend Gnarly because the whole project is about the ups and downs of life in the Northend—how it shapes you, the pride you carry, and the hope to rise above challenges. "DINO USA" captures that perfectly—it’s not just a place, it’s an attitude, a sense of identity, and a source of strength. It was even more of an honor to be able to pay homage the my receiving The 2024 Citizen Award from the City of San Bernardino, with the cameo of my city councilman Ben Reynoso handing me my award when I hand him the Vinyl of the Northend Gnarly album during the 2nd verse of the song.

How did growing up in San Bernardino influence your music, especially on this latest project?

San Bernardino, and specifically the Northend, has been one of the biggest influences on my music. Growing up in a place where you see both struggle and resilience gives you a unique perspective. There’s this constant push to rise above adversity while staying true to yourself. That’s a major theme throughout Northend Gnarly. My experiences—whether it’s the sense of community, the hustle, or even the moments of solitude—shape my sound and my lyrics. I wanted this project to feel like you’re right there with me, experiencing the highs and lows of San Bernardino life.

What inspired you to create "Northend Gnarly" as a tribute to San Bernardino, and what message do you hope to convey through it?

The inspiration for Northend Gnarly came from a desire to honor my roots and tell the story of where I’m from. San Bernardino doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves, but there’s a lot of beauty in the struggle and the community here. I wanted to capture the essence of the Northend—the grit, the love, the perseverance—and share it with the world. The message I hope to convey is one of resilience and pride. No matter where you come from or what you go through, you can rise above it, and you should take pride in the journey that shaped you.

What role does your family, particularly your grandparents, play in your music and storytelling?

My family, especially my grandparents, have greatly shaped who I am and how I approach my music. They instilled a deep faith in God in me from a young age, which has been central to how I navigate life. That faith mentality comes out strongly in my music—whether it's how I talk about overcoming struggles or finding peace amid chaos. My grandparents taught me that no matter what happens, a higher purpose guides everything. That belief in God and in trusting the process is something I carry with me in every song I write. When I speak on resilience, hope, and perseverance, it's grounded in the faith they passed down to me, and it’s my way of honoring those values they instilled in me.

What's next for you after "Northend Gnarly"? Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations we should look forward to?

After Northend Gnarly, I’m continuing on a path of self-discovery and growth. Whatever comes next is going to be deeply personal—it's about navigating my emotions and perspectives as I reach new levels musically. I’m focusing on keeping the approach pure, letting the music naturally evolve with me. I won’t say too much just yet, but you can expect whatever’s on the horizon to feel authentic to where I am in my journey.
