Rising star Yeshi, the 24-year-old Ethiopian-English recording artist, singer, rapper, pianist and DJ, has released her highly anticipated new single, "I Remember The Night", produced by CERTIBEATS. This energetic and bold modern dancehall/rap track marks her first release in two years, setting the stage for several new releases in the coming months.

Born in the vibrant heart of London and raised amidst the eclectic coastal vibes of Brighton, Yeshi's music is a captivating blend of her Ethiopian heritage and British upbringing. Her sound seamlessly merges dancehall, Afrobeats, R&B and hip-hop, punctuated with emotive contemporary pop ballads that showcase her talent on the piano.

Yeshi, whose name means "a thousand" in Amharic, grew up surrounded by a rich tapestry of sounds. Her Ethiopian roots introduced her to the soulful rhythms of East African music, while her life in the UK exposed her to a diverse array of genres. This diverse musical environment has been instrumental in shaping her unique style. Her sound is characterised by rhythmic diversity, lyrical depth and an effortless ability to cross genre boundaries.

"I Remember The Night" is inspired by a serendipitous encounter Yeshi had on a night out. Speaking about the new single, Yeshi says, “I created the track after I was inspired from meeting someone on a night out at a club event. The song is about how we met, how we had an instant attraction and the turn of the events or story of what happened between us after only meeting once.”

As she continues to evolve as an artist, Yeshi is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of her music. She is currently working on her first EP, a project that promises to further explore her Ethiopian and British influences while solidifying her unique sound. Yeshi is a star who is undeniably on the rise and poised to make a lasting impact on the global music scene. “I Remember The Night” is available to buy/stream now on all platforms.
