Veteran Seattle Hip-Hop artist and producer, D-Sane, known for his longtime work in the Seattle music scene and involvement in Macklemore's megahit, "Thrift Shop,” has just released another self-produced slapper called "The Topic.” The song is an ode to haters and gossipers, laid over hard-hittin' drums and laced with a catchy hook that rides a Godzilla theme-like horn riff. It features Seattle Hip-Hop heavyweights Brainstorm and S.E.V. of legendary rap trio Dyme Def (The Source 'Unsigned Hype' alumni), who have recently rebranded under their new moniker, The Fade.
"The Topic" is the 2nd single from D-Sane's forthcoming album, Severance Package, which is set to be released September 29th through his label, Street Level Records. The album, which is a cross between a solo and producer album, will feature appearances from KXNG Crooked, Freeway, Macklemore, various other Seattle music notables, and the producer of Mac Dre's "Thizzle Dance", SYKO. On top of handling producer and vocal duties on the album, D-Sane also recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire project at his Seattle-based recording studio, Digital Age Sound.
