So Yung Links, tell us a little about yourself, where your from? When did you first become interested in music? When did you start rapping?
Well first off let me start by saying what's up to and what's up to the fans reading this right now... I'm a cool laid back guy, I'm 28 years of age I graduated high school in the year of 2006 at nottoway high school. located in nottoway VA. I am easy going person and always put god first in whatever I do. I love music I love to write record day in day out. I'm just a guy trying to make it out here in this world ya dig. I am Born and raised In my home town Virginia
I have always been Interested in music since I was a little boy my dad always played music day in and day out. music from different artist day after day and I actually liked it at my age and that was kinda confusing to me right there off top because I asked myself a lot like why do I like this music he is listening too and with me being a child you know we only know one thing we don't have the Grown up minds yet lol. but it's cool I later really got into music and start rapping in the year 2012 or 2013 and every since I been at it going recording everyday, well at least trying to for the most part and for some reason I just fell in love with music I can sit in the studio for hours and hours and not get bored and wanna leave lol now the 9 to 5 job on the other hand yea ya know lol.
Whose music did you grow up on?
I grew up on Prince, Micheal jackson, Luther Vandross, isley brothers the whispers 112 Back Street Boys dru hill, Ll Cool J, Jay Z, monica Aliyah 2 Pac, Snoop Dogg, Bow Wow, b2k Ginuwine Gucci, Jeezy, T.I., Young Dro, Young Buck, 50 cent, Lil Wayne, cash mone,y roca fella, chris brown, missy elliot, timberland, pharrell, clipse and etc man lol lol I can keep going all day lol
When it comes to your lyrics, what motivates/inspires you?
All types of lyrics inspire me lol ALL TYPES of lyrics lol but what I mean by that is I love the lyrical type lyrics because thats reality rap but I also love to non lyrical rap meaning it may not be a meaning to tho song the song just get everybody hype or going and to me thats still music its not always bout lyrics all the time sometimes it could be just the way you feeling at the moment and hit the booth and start laying some ishh
What do you look for in beats you’re selecting?
With beats I'm actually getting more into them and trying to learn them more and the actual sounds and things but usually I look for whatever makes yung links feel good and if its riding right and bass bumping I can rock wit cha ya feel me lol..
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment?
I have had many accomplishments but my biggest I think is how far I have come just myself and thinking to myself on certain things how I look back and I say years ago I didn't even have a album out. or years ago I didn't even think bout music or recording the way I do now ya know. so I think I have came a long way by not giving up or anything even after I second guess myself in almost everything and just been battling and getting through it everyday.
Favorite movie? and why?
Really dont think i have a favorite, i love movies a whole lot to that i watch over and over multiple ones lol.
Besides music what other hobbies do you have? Please tell me about your typical day
My other hobbies might consist of fishing bowling movies out to eat etc and basketball I haven't played in awhile but I Always like hitting the court. A typical day for me is my 8 hour day job morning to evenings then get home get myself together maybe eat something then hop in the studio and grind until I can't any more lol I go home to my hood sometimes too ya know
Whats the best piece of advice that has been ever given to you?
Best advice I always got was from my family and saying keep going and don't give up, everything gone be ok and work out ESP coming from my mom
How does it feel when you perform live? Describe your live performance
Honestly I have yet to perform yet lol im actually kinda nervous in the sense of dunno how any one may react to me and what not and my music and/or performance then again the second guessing comes lol but ima make it do what it do.
What are your thoughts on how things are going in the music industry right now?
I really dunno whats going on in the industry right now im tryna get in thea lol
What are your plans for longevity in this business of music?
My plans are to expand myself my craft my music my family my label etc grown in general all the way across the board ya know I wanna invest in things so I can always remain stable and etc I wanna help family as well and also give to charities as well I mean its all about survival now days
If you could work with one person who would it be?
If I could work with one person that would be a hard to come up with a answer its so many people I actually wanna work with and things you just dont know lol but I i'll chris brown because his era was a big big part in my life at my age and my time when I was younger when I was into dancing a lot a lot more and still I am
