So Ty Trilly, tell us a little about yourself, where your from?
I'm from South side Jamaica Queens', 40 projects to be exact
When did you first become interested in music? When did you start rapping? What prompted you to make a career out of rap?
I Always had this passion for music since a kid , expressing myself through my songs was always the best way for me to speak my mind , I started rapping at 11 years old & always had this feeling inside telling me this is what I was put here to do ..To rap & entertain so I stuck wit it got better throughout the years just discovering my sound & it made me who I am today
Why the name Ty Trilly?
Truthfully the name Ty Trilly came upon when I was in jail before I got locked up I had told myself I had to change my name because I was formerly known as Fly-Ty but I looked at that as a childhood name I grew out of plus it was very common in New York City. So the transition was smart. The "Trilly" in my name jus represents me I'm jus a Trill Young nigga .. It get no trilla than Trilly
When it comes to your lyrics, what inspires you?
Everything going on around me. I take real life experiences, whether they good or bad & turn it into a message. So when people listen to me they relate to the experience more than it just being a song. Also, seein other people in my age bracket take off inspires the hell out of me because I watch shit unfold before it get Real Big & I kno I can do the same thing & have the same impact it's jus a matter of time ..
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment?
Getting My mixtape Complete ..not to say that like its the hardest thing to do but a lot of people don't know what goes on behind the music it's a struggle this shit ain't easy as it looks I jus procrastinated for so long & to actually really make it happen was a blessing
What do you look for in beats you’re selecting?
I look for a difference .. I don't like nothin that sounds the same I'm big on originality & being creative as long as a beat offers me a vibe I never felt , I automatically get in a zone & it's no telling Wat Ima start rappin about
What’s one artist you would want to work with and why?
I always wanted to work with future ... Super Different sound
Where exactly do you see yourself at 5 years down the road?
God willin with everything going how it's going I see myself runnin a label , still working , still grinding jus striving for better 5 years will fly fast
Any new projects coming out soon ? & what can we expect from this projects?
I just dropped my latest tape "Trilly Season" not even a week ago I definitely got some new videos on the way. Also a new single just stay tune & follow the wave , #TrillySeason
