So Syke Pachino, tell us a little about yourself, where your from?

I'm originally from Leominster Massachusetts but I spent most of my life in Columbus, Georgia where I call home.

When did you first become interested in music? When did you start rapping? What prompted you to make a career out of rap?

I was always interested in music as far back as I can remember. I would always try to pick apart any song I heard to see what instruments were being used and how the lyrics were structured to form a song, I started rapping when I was about 11 years old just having fun freestyling with my homeboys in the lunchroom at school. I kind of always know I wanted to make a career out of rapping when I first performed in front of a crowd, the energy and adrenaline I felt was like nothing I had aver experienced. I was all in from that moment.

When it comes to your lyrics, what inspires you?

I'm definitely inspired by my life experiences and having the need to speak my mind through my art. Things I see everyday and past experiences good and bad always provide me with concepts to write about in my songs.

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment?

I would say my biggest accomplishment by far was starting my own record label "EarHustlin Entertainment". The reason I say this  is my biggest achievement is because I worked hard to learn how a record label operates from promoting an artist to how money is facilitated.

What do you look for in beats you’re selecting?

In the beat selection  process Im always listening for a beat that is gonna have me brainstorming ideas and concepts within the first 15 - 20 seconds. If I hear a beat that has me vibing to it that means it brought the emotion and feeling out of me instead of just listening and bobbing my head. I also make beats as well so I go with the same process with my own tracks the same way I do when Im selecting beats from another producer.

Besides music what other hobbies do you have?

My other hobbies include writing poetry, short stories and reading.

What’s one artist you would like to work with and why?

The one artist I would love to work with be Nas. The reason I choose Nas is because he is the epitome of a true lyricist.

Where exactly do you see yourself at 5 years down the road?

In five years I see myself being one of the most respected emcees to ever bless a microphone. I see msyelf being a successful CEO with my label putting out quality music but most of all I see every goal I put in front of myself in fruition.

What are your thoughts on how things are going in the music
industry right now?

My thoughts is that it is a gift and a curse at the moment. The gift is being you can be heard all over the world overnight due to the internet and you can build your fanbase thru hardworking and smart promotion. The independent artist can operate the same way a major label artist operates without having to compromise his/her art. The curse is that as far as mainstream music goes, we are being force-fed microwave music that is more about making money than true artistry.

Any new projects coming out soon ? & what can we expect from this projects?

Yes, in fact Im currently in the post production phase of my new album titled "Only Time Will Tell". Im planning on releasing the project May 5th on my own label. My fans and new listeners can expect a well balanced project with originality, clever lyrics, wordplay, substance, social conscience issues, relatable subject matter and dope ass production!
