Mikhail Stukov: Let's take it back to the beginning...When did you first become interested in music?
Ski Beatz: My first contact with music was my moms 45 collection. She had a bunch of Motown and James brown stuff that I thought was so amazing. I use to listen to those 45s for hours.
Mikhail Stukov: Why the name Ski Beatz ?
Ski Beatz: My name has been through a couple of changes over the years. I started off as "Mc Willski" then later dropping the "Will" and becoming "Ski" which stuck for the most part of my production adventures in the mid 90s. The whole Skibeatz thing came from a friend saying "Skibeatz" in a rap tune and for some reason it stuck.
Mikhail Stukov: Who are your favorite producer of all time?
Ski Beatz: My favorite producers of all time got to be "Rhythm Fanatic" and "Mark Spark" those guys taught me how to make music.
Ski Beatz: 5 years from now is a mystery to me lol I'm still trying to figure out today... But I like it that way
Mikhail Stukov: When it comes to your beats, what motivates/inspires you?
Ski Beatz: Good music inspires me to create.
Mikhail Stukov: What do you consider your biggest accomplishment?
Ski Beatz: I feel my biggest accomplishment is still being able to make the music I love I knowing that the next generation has love for it to.
Ski Beatz: A few of my favorite artist are Hopsin, Kendrick, laws, Emilo Rojas, just to name a few..
Mikhail Stukov: Which rapper would you like to produce for the most?
Ski Beatz: I don't really have a one favorite rapper I would want to produce for I want to produce for them all lol
Mikhail Stukov: Any new projects coming out soon ?
Ski Beatz: Look out for My album coming soon as I can possibly get it out "Balcony Music" also "Pilot Talk 3" with the homie Currensy and a few little surprises along the way.
